Happy New Year

Happy New Year!!!! This year for new years we traveled over to Columbia SC to meet Chris' parents half way. It was a short trip, drove over Saturday and came back Sunday, but we wanted to make the trip since Chris' mom is leaving for Thailand this week for 3 months. We wanted to let her see her grandkids and give her some love before she left.

We went out to eat at Copper River Grill....it was so good! We had a little mini photo shoot at the dinner table. Last pics before the new year.

Bree enjoying her big bowl of Mac n Cheese. I am really surprised she at this because she is super picky about her Mac n Cheese. If is looks anything different then the Kraft stuff...she normally doesn't eat it. But she loved and ate pretty much all of it.
My big girl...man doesn't she look so grown up here. :(
Bree wanted to take a photo of three of us
Then it was Katie's turn....I guess the flash reflected off of her glass.
As we were leaving, Katie wanted to take a picture of just me and Chris outside.
Remember in my previous post how I said the girls got each other sleep mask for Christmas...they put them to good use in the car. They both were them at night to sleep as well. When I go in the morning to wake Bree and Katie up for school most of the time it is still on their eyes. I guess you are never to young to appreciate a good sleep mask. :)

Before we headed back on Sunday we got to meet up with some friends, Ken and Nannette,  that we haven't seen in a very long time. We knew them back when we lived in Columbia. Chris used to work with Ken and still keeps in touch with him. They have only seen Katie before and she was less than a year old when we left so they couldn't believe how big they all were. It was fun catching up with them.

I hope you all have a safe and fun New Year!!!!

Love the eye masks!!

When did you switch Bree to a backless booster? I though they had to be over 45lbs for that?!

A little after she turned four. Our Ped said she could go with back or backless, depending on how the shoulder strap fits her. If it fits on her shoulder she could go without the back. They both have to stay until they ar 4'9" before they go without one at all, which is killing Katie...she so doesn't want to ride in it anymore.
