Silly Moments

This is how Bree goes for a walk now. She takes her babies with her. Such a good little mamma
The girls were just being so silly this evening. They got on their dance stuff and were walking around dancing like an Egyptian. Bree was laughing so hard she couldn't hold her pose long enough for me to get them both. Silly silly girls!

Bible Character Night

Wednesday night for Awanna's they had Bible Character night. Katie and Bree both wanted to be Mary. Chris had the hook up with the drama group at church so he went and raided the drama closet. We couldn't find two Mary costumes so Bree decided to go as Jesus, because she said he is her favorite. Aww!

Mary and Jesus

After I got them dress Katie kept kneeling down saying "Jesus, I need your help" Bree would giggle and then say put her hand on Katie. They crack me up. So funny to see them play out the things they learn in sunday school.

Tried to get one more pic before we left, but they weren't really making it easy. Katie wouldn't stop eating her twizzler and Bree was giving me the not another picture pose (arms crossed)

Bella Dancerella

When we were at Joy's we brought Katie and Bree's Bella Dancerella video. This video for adults is beyond annoying but my girls love it and it seems like Chandler loved it also. Sorry Joy and Jeremy. :)

The video is a dance along video to Disney Princess songs. So you can imagine how these songs get stuck in your head. The three of them following along.

Seaweed arms

Here is a video of the three of them dancing along. I took this on my phone so I am hoping it will play on my blog. It is very cute.

Road Trip!

Katie had a long weekend for Fall Break from school so we decided to take a mini vacation and go on a road trip to see my best friend Joy in Illinois. On Thursday morning I packed up the car and we headed out. We were all excited to see Jeremy, Joy and Chandler.

Movies - check, pillows - check, blankets, stuffed animals, snacks, drinks and toys - check. All the things to help keep them entertained and keep mommy sane. Don't they look all cozy and comfy for the ride. Wish I could be riding back there.

When we got to Joy's house the girls were ready to get out of the car and play. We walked up the street to the playground in their neighborhood and let them run off some energy. When we got back Chandler showed the girls her play room downstairs. Chandler was very sweet sharing all of her toys with Katie and Bree.

I thought this picture was cute of Chandler and Bree playing together. The girls loved this doll house. May have to try and find one for them for Christmas.

On Friday it was a beautiful day, we got the girls ready to go a pumpkin patch. The girls haven't been to one this year so they were really excited to go. The girls also had to sport the same hair do as Chandler "meatballs".

The girls all ready to go. Joy and I were laughing about how long it takes to get five girls ready and out the door. I think Joy and I were worn out by the time we got them in the car.

Chandler and Bree jumping on the corn popper.

Momma joining in on the fun.

The best friend a girl could ask for.

Three pumpkin cuties.

My girls loved this haystack they could climb up. They kept wanting to go up to the top. The three of us at the top.

Chandler and Bree were so excited to be at the top.

So proud she climbed to the top all by herself.

Saturday was really rainy so we took the girls to the children's museum. Joy dropped me and the girls off at the front and she went to park, so while we were waiting I tried my best to get a photo of all three of them.

This museum was really great and my girls were so excited to go and explore. They ran straight for the water area. Katie kept trying to build things and Bree just wanted to put her hands in the water.

Joy had a big set teeth and Chandler and Bree were brushing them and feeding them a bottle.

Upstairs they had a big stage with dress up clothes. The girls were all about this. They would go backstage and dress up and then come out on the stage. They wouldn't do anything but just stand there and smile. A little stage fright I believe.

Getting to paint on a wall of glass. They thought this was the greatest thing, to be able to paint on a wall. Knock yourself out girls. I made sure to explain to Bree that she could only do this here. I can totally see her trying this at home.

Joy even joined in on the fun.

Hanging out in Chandlers room the last night we were there.

Joy and I actually got to get in some girl time while I was there. On Friday afternoon her babysitter came over for a few hours while we snuck out to get some coffee and get a pedicure. We got to drink our coffee, get our feet rubbed and got to catch up without the " hey mommy" interruptions. Then on Saturday night Joy's husband Jeremy watched the girls for us for a few hours and we got to go back out do a little shopping. When we got home I had the best surprise of all. Jeremy got all three of the girls to bed. I couldn't believe it. My girls have only had two guys put them to bed and that is daddy and Papaw, so I was impressed that they went to be so easily for him. When I checked on them Katie was sacked out and Bree was still awake but she was quietly laying in bed. So a big thanks to Jeremy for watching three girls and getting them all to bed. For a momma it is so nice to have a break from the bedtime routine.

Sunday morning we had to get back on the road to head home. On the way back we made a few extra stops to let the girls get out and play. The weather was warm and beautiful and the wonderful thing about driving through Missouri is that their rest areas have playgrounds for kids. We took advantage of it on the way back.

We had so much fun with Joy and Chandler, we did a lot in 2 days and I think we were all exhausted by Sunday but it was well worth it. Joy and I have been friends for a very long time and it seems that we never end up living that close to each other so the times we do get to see each other are very special to me. We both dream or hope that one day our husband's jobs will land us in the same city one day. Fingers crossed!

Tailgating Time

Love this time of year when you get to get together and tailgate and hang out with some of your favorite people. We recently had our annual tailgate with our 11th and 12th graders, but this year we joined in with the 9th and 10th graders to expand our fun. We had an amazing night this year. Great weather, sunny and warm for this time of year. Last year we froze to death. Since the weather was so nice we decided to stay for part of the Broken Arrow Tigers games. Katie has been wanting to go to a game all season, so we thought it would be are best chance.

Can't have a tailgate without hot dogs. I think Katie was ready to dig in as she would not stop to smile for me. I can't believe I got Bree to give me a "normal" smile and not a silly face.

"Awe Mom, did you have to take my picture while I was eating"

Still trying to get just one good picture....I give up.

What is a tailgate without a game of football. Katie and Braeden were trying their best to keep up and help tackle.

They were the "mini" quarterbacks helping out Drew.

Imagination Put to Use

A couple of weeks ago we were in the garage getting stuff ready for our neighborhood garage sale. Katie kept asking for anything she could have to play with and reuse. Chris gave her some old boxes and other stuff. A little while later she came and got me and said hey look at my space ship. You can't really see from the picture but she drew buttons and other things on the box that looks like what you find inside of a space ship. The white things are her "jets" and behind her head in the first photo is a plate she used for the steering wheel. I was pretty impressed with what she came up with when she was given things we were just going to throw away. She can put her imagination to good use.

State Fair

Ok, so it has been a few weeks since I updated the blog. Some has just been lack of motivation and some was not being able to find my camera cord to upload the picks. It seems I have found both now. Here are a couple of updates on us.

Mom and Dad have been with us the past week. They came in for a week to see the girls. It has been fun having them here, even though Katie has to go to school during the day they have been enjoying the day with Bree and then at night they have been spending time with both Katie and Bree. Lots of Chick-fil-a visits, shopping, playing, taking walks, etc.

We did all head out to the Tulsa State Fair last Saturday evening. It has been a couple of years since we last went. Thought it would be fun to all go. Wow! I forgot though how expensive it can be. Prices defiantly went up since we last went, but none the less we had a good time.

The girls with Nana and Papaw waiting in line to ride the bubble bees.

Katie showing off her prize she won at a game all by herself. She wanted to pop balloons with a dart. The guy told us she could play to she wins. I guess it didn't know how skilled our girl was. He gave her three darts and the first one she threw she popped a balloon, the second one she threw she popped a balloon and the third one she threw she popped three balloons. She was so excited to have done it herself. Bree didn't want to play because she didn't like the sound of the balloons popping, so daddy played for her and won her the same animal. Bree requested for no pictures to be taken of her and her cow. Even though I tried she was able to turn away faster then I could take a picture.

Getting ready to go through a castle obstacle course thing. Not sure what to call it.

Heading up the stairs

At the very top walking over a swing bring. Before they get to the swing bridge they had to climb up a rope latter. Katie flew up it and left Bree behind. Bree wasn't quite sure what to do but she was slowly figuring it out. Other kids were pushing by Bree because she was going slow. Katie looked back and saw Bree trying to climb up, so she went back and reached her hand down to Bree from the top of the ladder to help her up, and she even told other kids to stop pushing her. I don't think I have been more proud of Katie. She stepped up and protected her little sister and made sure she was safe. Warmed my heart.

We didn't get to go on alot of rides as it was pretty crowded and lines were long, but we did enjoy some good ole fair food, corn dogs, nachos, philly cheesesteak sandwich, fries, fried butter and that was just for me. Not sure what everyone else had. LOL
Once the sun went down it got a kinda of cold and windy so we went into the QuickTrip center where they had a bunch of vendors. They had a spin art place where they put a frisbee in this box and it spins around really fast and the girls could take different paint colors and pour them in. It would spin the paid and make different patterns. Here is the finished look. I thought they were cute.

New PJ's

We were at Ross the other and they had some really cute winter pj's so the girls each got to pick out a pair. Katie picked princesses and Bree picked Dora. It was good timing because that night was one of our first cold nights here for fall. They girls put on their new winter pj's. They had sat down to watch a cartoon when Katie asked to take a picture of her and Bree. The next thing I know it turned into a photo shoot as they wanted to keep posing with Samson.

I have one showing me happy, one showing me angry and then one just hidding.

I think Samson just didn't want his picture taken, or maybe he's just sad he couldn't make a silly face to match the girls.
Can you tell yet who has the spunky personality in our family? Bree can no longer just give me a simple smile. It has to be some type of face. She is my silly girl.

Finally one of our boy...Bree was playing peek a boo behind Samson.
